Box motion concept

Enables thinner wrapping materials

Smooth, continuous movement and the box motion concept – where the wrapping material is held together for an optimal length of time, and sealed and cut within the “jaws” of the durable knives – enable lower temperatures. This makes it possible to use wrapping material down to 20 microns. Seal can be hot or cold, and the pneumatic brake system secures optimal tension of the wrapping material.

External rack

Easy loading

The external rack makes loading of wrapping material easy. The rack also offers flexibility – it can be placed in six different positions.

Designed for operator safety

The machine design is optimized through prototyping, with accessibility and ergonomics in focus. The steps, handles and platform are integrated in the frame. Maintenance, cleaning and service are facilitated by easy ground floor access. The level of automation is high, and the folding box is movable to make emptying easy and safe.

Ensuring food safety

The sloping surfaces facilitate easy cleaning, and the external wrapping material rack reduces risk of drip or contamination from the operator platform. There are no electrical cabinets directly above the product.

Brake system

Constant tension

By measuring the speed of the spindle and comparing it with the speed of the wrapping material, a size calculation is made. This calculation is used to modulate the braking force to secure a constant tension throughout the lifetime of the reel.

Ground floor access for service

Maintenance made easy

Ground floor access makes maintenance and service easier. Although compact, it is possible to perform maintenance from the inside of the machine since the conveyor can be raised. All automation components are also easily accessed, as they are placed in cabinets on the sides of the machine.

Adjustable folding swards

Position control

An individual adjusting screw controls the folding swards. If the wrapping material is slightly out of position, the operator can fine-tune the alignment manually.

Printer system

One printer for six lanes

Thanks to the patented printer system, where the lanes go through a “sandwich” guiding system, a single laser printer can print on up to six lanes of wrapping material.

Tension reduction unit

Full tension control

The path of the wrapping material, from reel to final wrap, goes through guiding "swards" and rollers. The further down the path, the higher the tension. The right amount of tension is secured by the patented tension reduction unit – if there is too little tension, the material might not be in the right position at the printing stage; and if there is too much the material could break. The brake system adds tension, whereas the pulling station reduces it.

Individual heat control

Maximizing uptime

The individual heat control maximizes uptime. Every lane has six heating elements. If one of them malfunctions, the adjacent heat element compensates – and the machine stays operational. And at the same time, a notification about the issue is sent to the operator.

No product, no wrap

Avoiding empty wraps

The consistent and reliable wrap quality makes sure that product waste is kept to a minimum. Sensors ensure that no empty wraps reach secondary packaging.
